Clermont County Kennel Club would like to thank you for supporting our shows last year. We believe the Eukanuba Hall at Roberts Centre is an ideal location for a dog show, situated on a major highway between Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati. The facilities are first rate. The staff is very accommodating and the members of Clermont County Kennel Club work hard to make this show an enjoyable experience for all exhibitors.
The 2016 shows threw a curve ball at us. In a day and age when shows across the country are experiencing declining entries, we actually went up 300 entries each day! This created a scramble to hire more judges, change our ring layout, and try to accommodate all of the reserved grooming that had already been sold. When all was said and done we were left with very limited space for open grooming, and we had nowhere to expand. The Roberts Centre allowed us to use their back dock area to try to handle some of the overflow. We know that was not the ideal solution.
We want to assure you that Clermont County Kennel Club is very aware of how difficult this was for some exhibitors. We have taken steps to prevent this from becoming an issue in future years by adding the final available room to our show beginning in 2017. This will add 18,000 square feet to our total space, boosting us to a 60,000 square foot ballroom! We believe this will alleviate the shortage of open grooming areas, still allow us to provide the same number of reserved grooming spaces as we had in 2016, expand our ring layout yet again, and thereby make the 2017 show the best we have ever had!
We invite you to take a look at the floor plans of the 2017 show versus the 2016 show and see just how much space the additional room adds to our show room. If we failed you in 2016, please know that we are trying to make certain this never happens again, and the Clermont County Kennel Club shows become your favorite shows each year. Please, give us another try. We think you will be pleasantly surprised!
